  • 1. Just Like a Video Game?

A chilling video surfaced yesterday giving a first-person shooter perspective of a U.S. helicopter attack on a group of Taliban fighters.

Three things struck us about this footage. First, the cool, surgical approach of the pilots as they follow and finally kill seven men. Second, the way the American pilots sprinkle their language with Arabic words like “kalat” and “wadi” (instead of “house” and “riverbed”). And third, the fact the “Taliban” didn’t fire on the noisy helicopter as it lurked overhead for several minutes.

    What the attack on Liveleak.

  • 2. Surfing in a Cadillac

A new in-car Wi-Fi router from Autonet will offer drivers the chance to stay connected wherever they go. Though the mobile router, which has a 150-foot range, has been released exclusively by Cadillac as an add-on for the CTS, the technology would be fairly simple to install on any other car.

The device has some room for technical improvement – the connection is apparently spotty –  but we’re far more concerned with an obvious, practical issue: the spike in gruesome porn-related car accidents that is sure to come.

  • 3. Shaq’s Rude Awakening

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal has 1.4 million followers on Twitter. Still, it’s surprising that he didn’t learn about  yesterday’s news before all of them.

At about midnight last night, @THE_REAL_SHAQ received a Tweet from one of his followers, @allonso, asking, “is it true u a CLEVELAND CAVALIER.” Shaq, known for his honest, down-to-earth rapport with fellow Twitter users responded, “I didn’t hear dat yet.” Well, Shaq, if you live by the Twitter, you die by the Twitter.

  • 4. The Hunt for Flower Boy

By now, you’ve seen the hilarious photo of a plump, pubescent young man offering Megan Fox a yellow rose at the London premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In the shot, Fox is being ushered along by security while she completely ignores the earnest admirer.

Something about the boy’s face has sparked endless sympathy (and derision) online, and Fox, ever the gracious babe, has kindly apologized to the boy, in this clip. Now, Kodak has stepped in, offering a US $5000 reward to anyone who can help identify the boy. The camera company has also offered to fly flower boy wherever he needs to go in order to “allow destiny to take its course.” Stay tuned as this important story unfolds.

  • 5. Forget Megan Fox

Megan Fox entered the fantasies of geeks everywhere when she appeared in the original Transformers flick, and she’s stayed there ever since. But in the world of Hollywood babes, Fox’s moment was light years ago. Frankly, we’re ready for something new.

Enter Isabel Lucas, a sultry, 24-year-old Aussie who stars in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen alongside Fox. A relative newcomer to the film world, Lucas is a stunning, timeless beauty who’s already captured our hearts – and planted herself firmly in our fantasies. All we can say is…Megan who?
