The web is still buzzing about Apple’s new iPad tablet, but for some, the iPad is old news. Like, seven years old.

Indeed, the iPad – complete with a colour touchscreen, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and VoIP support – was released in 2002 by Fujitsu. The gadget, which resembles a scientific calculator (see it below), retails for about $2000, and as you might surmise, it never really caught on. And though the technology is now grossly outdated, it looks like Fujitsu is finally going to cash in on their once-innovative product. Them, and a whole bunch of lawyers.
