Railway Art, Saturday, 6 p.m.
Glenbow’s Vistas: Artists on the Canadian Pacific Railway features works by 20 artists who traveled westbound on the CPR. Glenbow Museum, 130 9th Ave. SE, $14.

Embarcadero, Saturday, 9 p.m.
A Calgary landmark since 1984, Embarcadero is downtown Calgary’s go-to oyster destination. The rickety old house turned resto-lounge features six daily varieties of both Atlantic and Pacific fresh oysters. Extra Happy Ghost, Saturday, 10 p.m.
Hot Little Rocket bassist Matt Swan surfs Beach Boys territory with his solo project Extra Happy Ghost, and celebrates the release of his new record. Marquee Room, 612 8th Ave. SW, $10.

Disco Paradise, Saturday, 12 p.m.

The Pen Is Mightier, Sunday, 11:40 a.m.
Ship & Anchor Songwriting Contest winners Mount Pleasant Seasonal Exhibition strum their energetic folk rock stylings amidst a diverse lineup at the Calgary Folk Festival. Prince’s Island Park, $60 single day/$160 weekend passes.
