Food + Drink

We’re tirelessly committed to telling you about any new buzz-worthy spots, sometimes before they are even opened.

That’s why we’re anticipating Cloud Free Agents Espresso Bar, Queen West’s newest independent coffee joint, which comes with an interesting twist.

Managed by Sora Olah (the former host of SunTV’s “Street Eats”), Cloud is slated to open in mid-November and will provide a two-fold service.

Upstairs the Sorbonne-trained Chef de Maison, AJ Quang, will deliver simple, Parisian-style baguette sandwiches, gourmet pizzas, house-made soups and a whack of French pastries and bread (every sixth baguette is free!).

Oh, and coffee. Great coffee. Cloud will use the best organic and Fair Trade beans from Reunion Island.

Downstairs is a “free agent collaboration space,” a haven for freelancers, entrepreneurs and artists to work solo or meet with clients.

The space offers free wireless internet, the latest presentation gear and the opportunity for audio/video conferencing. There’s also a comfy break-out space.

You can rent the space for just $45 for the first hour, and $20 for every subsequent half hour. Of course, your rental comes with complimentary carafes of delicious coffee and Quang’s tasty food at 20 percent off.

Join Cloud’s Facebook group or follow on Twitter for opening day updates and exclusive offers.

One more thing: This location is the first node in a unique global advertising agency network. For more on that, contact Peter Coish at Cloud Advertising Agents.
